So I ran into one of the HOA board members who didn't answer my email and he says she doesn't think there is anything they can do except keep fining them. Fining the guy who said he won't pay the fines=solution. He said he was going to check the association rulebook, so there's that.

I went on my husband's insurance effective the beginning of this year. My primary care physician does not take his insurance, so I need to find a new one.

Over the past couple weeks, I've had a pain in my wrist that is getting increasingly worse. It's to the point now that I need someone to look at it. I called a few physicians that do take the insurance, but the earliest they'll see a new patient is either the end of Feb or beginning of March.

I don't really feel this warrants an emergency room visit but I don't think I can deal with the pain until March. I've got a few more doctors to call and see if I can get in sooner, but ugh, this is annoying.
"I tell all kids not to use that word. If they're 29 and they win the World Series, I think they can say that.
But I definitely would say to all the kids out there, 'Kids, it's a bad word. Don't say it. And I'm dead serious.' "

What exactly is the point of having an HOA if they apparently dont have the balls to get anything done?

I want my prof to cancel my night class - because the roads are too dangerous - so I can drive up to Newark and go to the Georgetown game

I don't know if this pain is anything like carpal tunnel, but my wife completely reversed her symptoms by wearing a wrist brace at night for a couple weeks. It's not a normal over-the-counter item though; you might need to find a medical supply house.

If you could get an appointment sooner out of network, maybe when you're calling around ask if the doctor gives a discount for cash payment? At least for that initial consult.

I received a wake-up call from Temple this morning at 6AM informing me not to worry, that 8AM classes were cancelled.

Good thing my first class was at 11, gee, thanks Temple.

Three possible reasons:

1) It was a landline call
2) He wasn't EXPECTING ANYONE TO CALL AT 6 A.M.
3) die

i use my phone as an alarm clock, so putting mine on silent would mean i'd never ever wake up for anything on time ever

I'd check around for an urgent care center, and then see if they take your insurance. It's probably the best choice in this situation. Bring up your location in Google Maps, and then search for Urgent Care.

We've used them a couple times in the past year and a half, for minor illnesses either on weekends or when we couldn't get an appointment at our regular doc. The one we go to has access to x-ray equipment as well.
