This thread went from 51 to 62 pages in the 20 minutes that passed since a coworker sent it to me. It's worse than a game-thread

Mrs. Vox--is that the right caption for the photo, or is "loving wife contemplates homicide"?

Don't think they will have to worry about that, tbh
Maybe CG stands for consolation game?
(I believe way back even before my time the loser of what was then the AFL and the NFL championships would play is a not quite so super bowl.)

I don't remember that. Before the merger, the second place team in the Eastern Conference would play the second place team in the Western conference. I remember that because the 1966 Eagles won a bunch of games at the end of the season and finished second and played the Colts in that game. It had a name but I forget what it was.
Anyways, I remember the Eagles lost a close game and then stunk for the rest of the 60s and into the early 70s.

I guess I should get used to it, as full-time work has begun and I won't have any non-holiday "days off" until a long weekend in FL for spring training in late March.
I'm sure most of you are overwhelmed with sympathy for me on this thing.

That's a holiday day off. And the truth is I'll probably be working at home that day to get ready for the new job, though at least I'll get to sleep late.
