Our power went out a few hours ago. My mom came up to me and asked if we could flush the toilet without power...

i worked at this camp once that served about 500 kids a week. there was this real bad storm that took the power out for about 24 hours. the toliets would not flush w/o electricity so we had to go around dumping buckets of water in all the toilets to flush them. that was the day i learned that girls bowel movements are more disgusting than guys.

Ancient Egypt is about the most fascinating thing this world has to offer. And their names were all awesome.

I am surprised how bad the primary roads around town are. Did we sell the plows in the budget cuts?

I still think it's funny that T-Mac does the commercial voiceover for Winner Ford and just sounds like a generic car commercial voice guy

There was a meeting at 9:30 this morning, but I was transitioning from day shift to midnights and decided so skip it so I could sleep. I'm going curling in an hour or so with some coworkers so I'll know after that. I don't think any jobs are being cut, though.

getting RT'd and then @ messaged by The 701 Level and then @ messaged by Bakestar was probably the coolest 10 seconds of my week

And it actually all started because I used the word that insinuates someone has a very personal relationship with poultry. My friend said he uses the phrase "dick bagel," which implies someone was having some sort of sex with a bagel.

Functioning well still, but I need to quit I think.

I only drink at night so I get plenty of sobriety mixed in. My problem is I get into ruts where I start drinking at 9 or 10 and have 5-6 whiskey cokes before falling asleep at 3 for a bunch of nights in a row. From Christmas Eve till now on one of those. And basically guaranteed to do so for the next two nights w/ the Eagles game then Georgetown, and my brother and I in town at my parents'.

The 30th should be sober. Hopefully after New Years I get into a good reading rut. Have the Follett, Clancy and Baldacci books to read before the second semester starts.

Hah, my dad just had an Evan neat after finishing his handle of Dewars. I never had a chance.
