One thing about shoes is you gotta spend some dough on them. I walk about 10 or more miles at work each night so I need really good kicks. I have three pair of shoes that I call the Three Aces. They will last a long time and once I broke them in they've been sweet. I just hope I don't have to go to San Francisco 'cuz I'm afraid they won't hold up well there.

I don't walk as much as Smitty, but the other thing about good shoes is that you can get them repaired, thus making them an even better value.

fucking hell. was procrastinating and not working by looking at cutting edge graphics cards and comparing it to my old rig (which ain't gonna be replaced any time soon).

Or so I thought. the power usage of the latest round of graphics cards is a third at peak from what I've got sitting in my rig now. It's a big ol' antiquated power hog, so it is.

Maybe it's time to retire the Taco Bell Girardi/Rivera chalupa commercial.

There was a guy walking past me with a huge sign supported by PVC pipe, it read, "This sign is too damn big."

Someone was there dressed as Tommy Wiseau from The Room, with a sign that said, "You're Tearing Me Apart, Lisa!"

Spotted Batman, at least three Captain Americas, Robocop, The Monopoly Man, Cyclops from the X-Men, Donald Duck, and Popeye, among others.

Did not see CalvinBall or td11. :(

Tried to see how many signs/pamphets I could get. Gave up on that after I had no more hand/arm space for them.

I enjoyed the people watching far more than the rally, which I couldn't see/hear.
Together we will win this game against the evil Space Yankees! Eat Fresh!

That doesn't sound like a particularly sane thing to do.

So they were there for the fear part?

Rich Little has apparently purchased a popular local summer camp and intends to change the curricula to cater to the budding impressionist or impersonator. A slight name change of the facility will take place, which will now be known as "Camp Mock-a-Nixon".

Even as a kid I was never much into candy. And I certainly wasn't into walking around, so Halloween was always kind of a drag for me. I still hold no fondness for it.
