far too many christians seem offended by happy holidays than the rest of us are offended by merry christmas. this is what i've seen. thus, i will continue to back happy holidays. i enjoy the holidays, i don't need their crap, but i would like them to recognize it's not exactly religious for a lot of people

Why can't people just say what they want? If you're into Christmas, say "Merry Christmas", if you are an atheist, say "Merry Christmas" (because you probably are, statistically speaking, celebrating Christmas, anyway). Who is offended by being wished a Merry Christmas? This whole thing is a parody at this point. I'm not talking about baby Jesus on the court lawn or any of that business, just "Merry Christmas".

Either that, or wish whoever whatever they celebrate. When I was in NYC a few years back these orthodox Jewish guys were out on the street trying to get Jews back to Temple. The one guy stopped me and asked if I was Jewish, I said no that I was a Christian and he smiled and said "Well you have a Merry Christmas" and I said "Happy Hanukkah back at ya" and he was all happy and thumbs up. If super orthodox guy doesn't care, again I ask, who does?

I just want to be the first to wish a "Happy Kwanzaa" to karn.

apparently the people on my facebook who used to work for my father care. plus the lady i sit near at work who had a laugh when i mentioned hannukah started soon.

there are enough douchebags out there to merit being annoyed at being wished a merry christmas, because they do it vindictively.

anyway, i mostly just say ' you too' to whatever someone says
