I think she might be their nominee in 2012 if she wants it.
You're the conductor Ruben. Time to blow the whistle!

Bad for the country. We can't afford to have a Congress full of Bachmanns, or Jeremiah Wrights on the other end of the spectrum.

She's not as relevant as either she or the media thinks she is. She endorsed Ayotte in NH against the more conservative fella who is winning. O'Donnell was a pet candidate of Mark Levin, and then Rush and Hannity jumped on, then Palin parachuted in once a win seemed possible.

I was thinking about this the other day when it first occurred to me that this crazy chick might win. Kinda thinking this serves him right.

edit: I was kind of wanting Castle to win the seat. Liked him the same way I liked Chris Shays in CT, Sherry Boehlert in NY, etc. Obviously this is a dying breed, and I'm not sure the country understands how much we're going to miss them. All those guys, were they in their 30s or 40s today, would be Democrats.

Not really, no. One thing I'm interested to study in grad school is parties, and something I've come to believe over the past few years as something along the lines of a permanent majority/realignment is impossible.

I initially misunderstood this, and thought "he's confused with undergrad. Nobody parties in grad school."

I think the quality of the GOP nominee is going to matter very little if Recovery 2011 and 2012 look anything like the Recovery Summer

Romney is the only one I can see beating Obama right now, and he's going to have a lot of trouble getting out of the primary.

1. Flip-flopped on health care and his health care program in Mass was very similar to Obama's

2. He's a Mormon. Don't underestimate the anti-Mormon sentiment among many Evangelical voters who will be a large part of the electorate in the primaries.

Unless the fringe birthers go nutso, the 2012 R nominee is going to be Bobby Jindal.

sorry if the answer is obvious; i'm pretty foreign to all this

Delaware and I have a long standing rivalry on account of their stupid toll plaza on 95. I already hate the state's existence. This is just more grist for the mill.
