so as some may remember from past random thoughts (over)musings, i have a two year old son with cerebral palsy. long story short, after months of scrimping, saving, begging, borrowing and fundraising; we're out here in st. louis this week where he's had a procedure done that, if all goes according to plan, will allow him to be able to walk. surgery was tuesday morning, and went really really well. all the docs and nurses keep saying how impressed they are with how well he's handling everything, and already he's noticeably 'looser', or less spastic. tomorrow he starts physical therapy and needless to say, his mom and i are pumped.
