my oldest friends are the kids of my parents and their friends; somehow we've never grown apart. but we always used to do birthdays together, vacations, etc. so we saw each other all the time. one summer we went down the shore and me and i was like 13 and got mad at my dad for something as i was going to bed. so he's just like "Good night Kevin" and i go "BAD NIGHT!!!" and stomp down the steps or whatever. my friends were there to witness it so we still do the "BAD NIGHT!" thing in a high-pitched 13-year-oldy voice. it gets a laugh out of one of us about a quarter of the time.

I won $105 at the casino last night on my 1st slot machine spin, no joke. I gave $30 back and then spent $20 at a bar. Net gain of $55 is still pretty nice, though.

I'm gonna miss the Home Opener for the first time in about 10 years. I finally landed an accounting job (pretty crappy, but still) and they need to me start tomorrow for extra tax help. I totally forgot about the Home Opener and now it's too late to call out of work, especially when my first day is tomorrow. Also sucked given the ticket to a friend who had no remorse that I couldn't go. Then again, if I was in his situation, I don't think I would show any remorse. Hey, atleast I can buy more beer.

i've hardly been getting any sleep, and my brain is turning to mush. I fell asleep on the couch last night, so when my wife was getting ready for bed she was trying to wake me. Each time she woke me I said something weird about the military that she couldn't make out. She finally gave up on getting me to bed.

At 1am, I got up, opened the apartment door, and went into the building's hallway. I locked and closed the door behind me, and that's when I sort of woke up and understood what was going on. I didn't want to wake the neighbors by knocking loudly, so I had to go outside and ring the doorbell until my wife woke up. so weird
