Wow, glad nothing serious happened. And your wife is pretty freakin hard core. I probably would have ran out of the house screaming like a little girl.
How dare you interrupt my Lime Rickey!

But really I think Grote hasn't gotten nearly enough credit on this Rube thing.

TV have you ever been to McClard's BBQ in Hot Springs? I went there on a roadtrip I took with friends and it was awesome. They have this rib and french fry platter that is unreal. I suggest that Jerz stop there.

Changed my avatar today, forgot I did it, was reading a thread on the main board and stopped at a post for a minute before I realized it was mine. This has to be close to what it's like to walk past a mirror and not recognize yourself.

Why do you think I've never changed mine? I'm afraid I'll reply to my own posts if I ever do. Then everyone will be all "zOMG, he's talking to himself".

My new go to drunk snack is baby carrots and hummus. I know hummus is fatty and has calories and such, but it's relatively good for you.

So in the movie Clue, there's that scene where the cop shows up and they have to go Weekend at Bernie's with some of the dead bodies so they pretend they're all dancing and making out in the one room. There's a song playing that I've never ever hear outside this scene. I've seen Clue maybe five times, just from keeping it on in passing when it's on Comedy Central. But sure enough, I've gotten this song stuck in my head on an occasional basis for years. It's in there now, and I'm wondering if I've actually gotten it stuck in my head before or if I'm just tired and my brain is playing tricks on me.

Make that hummus yourself & you could cut calories out of it, plus it'll taste better & is much cheaper. & it's not hard, esp if you have even a rudimentary food processor.

I have a vague plan to drop a stone & a half by start of spring training. Yep, right thru the treacherous holiday season. Sounds like you're going in something of the same direction. If you care to make it interesting, lemme know.
Yes, but in a double utley you can put your utley on top they other guy's utley, and you're the winner. (Swish)

Anyone ever use priceline to name their own price on a rental car? How much did you save? We're looking at renting a car when we visit family in NJ over Christmas. I'd figure there'd be lots of rental cars available then, what with few people traveling on business.

We'd prefer to rent from Newark airport, as that would make everything easy. But for the 9 day rental I'm seeing prices north of $600, which is more than I'd want to spend. Another alternative is to somehow convince some relative to pick us up at the airport, and renting from Enterprise for a shorter period.

My friend wants to grab dinner before Monsters of Folk at the Academy of Music tonight. Anyone know where to get good beer and food within walking distance of Broad and Locust?
