I am a younger brother, but got no sort of sage advice, at least socially, because he lacks skills in that area and is kind of a recluse. Also, he's 27 and still collects soda cans.

Same for me. My older brother was a nerd who has turned into a loser. I resent him pretty heavily for not being the proto-typical older brother, among other things.

Sorry to hear that. I mean, I don't resent my brother, I guess because I didn't have a conception of what an older brother should be, other than what he was. And he is what he is, which is to say far from prototypical. He's got his good qualities, and some of them rubbed off on me.
