My light was on for three years. Three times it was inspected and the codes reset to no avail. It then started blinking, so I took it to the dealer. He couldn't figure it out and said not to worry. A week later it went off.

I really like the podcasts. He gets a lot of interesting guests.

Also I think it helps that the Pats are mortals again, KG's knee no longer works, and the big bad Yanks might be back.

I read his column a few times several years ago but stopped. Which is odd, because he had a line about Harry Carson resembling Glenn Close that made me laugh tears.

Really? My aunt just got a new car last week thanks to CFC (not chlorofluorocarbon). Maybe she just forgot to tell me and passed it off as having happened recently.

This is reassuring. I saw the check engine light and I heard The Price is Right losing horn. :P

If you just disconnect your battery for something like 60 seconds, it should reset the check engine light. Then if it comes back on, you'll know it's actually something worth looking at.

Ah, I didn't realize laundry washing was paying so well nowadays. My bad. Jeez, you waste hours online, you love Chipotle, and you can't find an hour to wait there?

Priorities my man, priorities.

I mean I work from home and bill hourly. Wasting time online cuts into my work product as well, but I'm not really all that good at focusing. If I had more self discipline that would be nice. Doing laundry isn't too time consuming though. If the line at Chipotle cost me fifteen minutes more than it usually would, that'd cancel out the free burrito. Plus, as noted, my pants and shorts were in washer/dryer. And the leftover soup was good. It was a responsible, lazy decision.

No, I'm sorry, you're wrong. I refuse to believe it's not a good idea for an underemployed person on his mom's couch to wait in line for a free burrito that he loves.

x=jerseyhoya's after tax hourly earnings
t=additional time (in hours) due to grand opening/free burrito hoopla/incompetence of inexperienced staff
6.50=chicken burrito from Chipotle

If xt>6.50

Then the free burrito could actually cost me money. Plus waiting in line sucks.

Or it could be something not worth looking at.

I got my old car to pass inspection three years in a row by disconnecting the battery right before inspection. The garage I took it to knew about the issue and that it wasn't worth fixing but said that legally they weren't allowed to do the emissions test if the check engine light was on.

Jesus you need to go to business school STAT. That equation doesn't nearly work when you ignore the J = amount of time wasted daily by you. Which is in the hours per week now. I'm not asking you to cut into the time working. I'm telling you to cut in the time you're wasting arguing with me about this issue. You'd have been home by now.

I'm a lot more comfortable billing for hours that are 30% spent on dumb BSG arguments than 100% spent in a line for a free burrito.
