Then the free burrito could actually cost me money. Plus waiting in line sucks.

Jesus you need to go to business school STAT. That equation doesn't nearly work when you ignore the J = amount of time wasted daily by you. Which is in the hours per week now. I'm not asking you to cut into the time working. I'm telling you to cut in the time you're wasting arguing with me about this issue. You'd have been home by now.

Is that what they teach you in business school nowadays?

I actually did have Chipotle today. There are two right near where I live, but one is significantly better than the other one. The good one loads you up with food. Not just on rice, but meat and everything. The other one always gives very stingy rations. The good one sautees their peppers and onions just right. The other one serves them practically raw. The good one has much better seating too.

That is all.

Ah, but that implies that all time wasted is equal. Now, discounting the fact that JH actually charges clients while posting here, time is the one most totally finite resource. In essence, economic decisions should not be seen as allocations of money, but rather, allocations of time.

He obviously enjoys posting here. He doesn't enjoy standing on line for a free burrito. The fact that the burrito may be free doesn't by itself sufficiently compensate for the lost time.

Now lets not get carried away and say I rampantly over bill while posting here. I've been up working since 9 this morning, and I'd say I'm somewhere around 3.5-4 billable hours for the day, with 2 or so hours lost on the webs/eating/watching TV. I'll probably get another 2 in before the day is done.

Last week's Monk is on at 3. I have to catch that, but I'm just doing data entry from lobbying disclosures, so that can be done in front of the TV.

This is a lot like how I do it, but it's pretty rare that I bill six hours in a day. Kudos.

(But I do think you should have gone for the burrito. Hell, go now--this is probably the lull. Eat it during the game tonight.)

I don't deny that what I posted has little applicability to business. It's just that no matter how much per hour you earn, the numbers of hours in a day is fixed. And all time wasted is not equal.

My mom's making ribs for dinner. Can't spoil my appetite.

This is another aspect of the freeness of the burrito not having a huge appeal. All of my food is free.

I've quickly noticed the amount of burrito talk going on here. It might make people jealous (and me happy that others are jealous) that I got 52 free burritos from California Tortilla. I think I used 13 thus far.

See and you don't have to wait in extra long lines for them

But at the same time, it's Chipotle's poor cousin. I do like the hot sauce variety though.

Last year the Chipotle by me sent out coupons in the mail for a free burrito. I was not too proud to scour the garbage can that everyone throws their junk mail in at my apartment complex.

I'd rather have 52 free cases of gonorrhea from a Fishtown hooker than 52 California Tortilla burritos. Those things are ill-conceived debacles.

As much as I still don't like nor understand Twitter and probably never will, I just realized that pretty much everything posted in these random thoughts threads (which I enjoy very much) are nothing more than tweets (albeit, longer tweets).
