Baja Fresh is a good 7 blocks away, Chipotle and Qdoba are each an avenue away in opposite directions. Choices, choices, choices.

Last night while walking back to my car in Center City, I started daydreaming about getting mugged, and having to call 911 and having Barry Fucking Jive from BSG answer. Would I ask directly for Jive? Would 911 transfer me to another operator? How would I know it's him? If I called should I first identify myself as Woody from BSG in hopes of getting express service? Would the other 911 operators know who Barry Jive was? All of this was pretty funny of course, so I started laughing to myself, which made me look as though I was insane walking alone on the street and also probably served to ward off any actual muggers.

But you get to wear flip flops to work! And you have a ping pong or pool table or foosball table (or all three!) in your office!

(I'm guessing that work has been keeping you from the Phils--if it's something else, nevermind.)

No, you got it. I pretty much live here now.

Right now I"m reading "And Then we Came to the End", and thus far it's added a lot of hilarity/fuel to my Endless Summer-is-Didn't I?-in-the-future theory

Seriously though, as a Mexican food fan, I can appreciate where you're coming from, jamie, but it's not like these great Mexican holes in the wall are everywhere. They're concentrated in South Philly, which is not all that easy to get to on an everyday basis. Besides that, this food isn't really comparable to Mexican food, it is a separate market. Finally, Chipotle and El Fuego are the only spots that really do anything for me, and I find QDoba to be awful. When I want Chipotle, I want Chipotle, not Mexican food.

If I want Mexican food, I'll go hit up a taco truck, not some store. Just like if I go to PF Chang's, I'm not looking for Chinese food.

sometimes i'll pass the taco truck making his stop at the mushroom houses. i usually pull over and get something. damn good and dirt cheap.

If there's a place that makes a better burger than The Good Dog, I haven't been there.
I know what you're asking yourself and the answer is yes. I have a nick name for my penis. Its called the Octagon, but I also nick named my testes - my left one is James Westfall and my right one is Doctor Kenneth Noisewater.

I love 5 guys. The Good Dog sodomizes it and then makes fun of it when it's finished.

Good Dog is in my top two, with Abbaye. I also love Royal Tavern's.

I still don't get the Five Guys love. It's just kinda sloppy and way expensive.

I like that they put peanuts on the tables.

Five Guys gets old after a while, like anything else. But I don't think I've ever eaten anything for the first time that has brought me quite as much joy as a Five Guys burger. Their fries are also incredibly delicious.
