5 hr trip by the train from london to em'bra. book in advance and it's peanuts. Plus you get to go through newcastle, which is worth it, just to see where st james park sits in the city.

Mind, if you do come, I'll need plenty of advance notice so's I can get into drink training.

The more I think about this, the more I think I'm actually serious about going over sometime next year. I need my dad to get a real job soon so he can afford to come over with me.

it does seem that you use their embed code rather than the url, that will work. although it won't help with old posts

You can see my post in the other thread, but I think both are working together now.

previously made link that were broken are still broken, but newly made links work when quoted.

The weirdest stuff has been going on with my neighbor and his lawn (his backyard). Last year, he seemed to spend a great deal of time watering it with tripod-mounted sprinklers that sat about 3-4 feet off the ground.

This past June he spends several weeknights and weekend day rototiling the whole backyard (it's not that big, but with the side yard, it does add up. Now this was just seeded with grass seed, not sodded, but with a little seasonal care, our has held up. but I figure, maybe he's not interested in the work involved and is going to sod it.

After rototiling it, he just lets it go. By this point, it is now all weeds, and about 12-18 inches high.

Today, he decides to mow it....

my mom just made a hardboiled egg explode in the microwave. she warmed it up then went to pick it up and it splattered all over the kitchen with a loud popping sound.

Why do I care about these stinking guinea pigs? One of them ran underneath the stove today. I had to fish her out. I thought she was a goner, and I'm still kind of shaken up about it (about an hour or so ago).

Our yards aren't THAT big without someone noticing that crop growing...

It got even funnier -- I went out to grill some burgers and saw that he was bagging the clippings too -- so it was like, mow five feet, empty bag, mow another five feet, empty the bag.

I like how people who don't know much about message boards, much less our constellation of message boards, can figure out "tardboard" on context pretty instantly
