Oh, I'm sure of that. I'm not entirely sure how many beers I drank. I know it was 30-(the two I sold to a guy on the Broad Street Line)-(whatever Housh and td drank)-(possibly one left over from the case, not sure). But I also had two shots of Jager in there and a Miller Lite at a bar at the end of the night. So I'm banking on the fact that I had at least 23-25 drinks with no real drive to drink all 30, with some fatigue factor from carrying around the styrofoam cooler full of them all day. If I were sitting on my couch with 10 hours of sporting events, a phone for the purposes of ordering food, normal everyday health and 30 cold Miller Lites, I am 99+% sure I would do it.

This conversation reminds me: Has anyone else ever done the 9-9-9? That's nine hot dogs, nine beers, nine innings.

You have to eat one hot dog (bun included) and drink one beer each inning. You have from the end of the prior inning to the beginning of the following inning to accomplish each. I've only done it once; it was a Saturday game televised on Fox that pitted Cole Hamels vs. Roy Oswalt. The beers were more difficult than the hot dogs in the early going, and vice versa in the late going. Inning-ending double plays are a real game-breaker.

haha i'll have to try that. it doesn't seem liek it'd be that hard, but i'll take your word for it for not being especially easy. it does combine my three loves though: booze, baseball, and conceivably phallic objects.

I don't remember what I ate yesterday but I woke up at 7:30 with the demon. Did you ever see those lizards that can run across water?- That was me this morning. I didn't even have time to light a cig. 10 more seconds and my wife was gonna have one helluva mess to clean up.

LA scoffs at your 30 and raises 20 to 50. That's no lie either

Housh I was seriously contemplating offering you one of my spare bedrooms rent free to keep you out of Texas but then I thought about it and came to the conclusion that we both would be dead in a matter of weeks.

The chosen few who have seen us at our absolute worst (best?) can probably confirm this.

four days, tops.

mose, it's not official, he's just considering it i believe. the day before opening day i hung out with him and barry and on the ride up to the park he was telling me about all the places he wanted to move to, starting with kansas city.

he seemed so earnest that i asked, "oh man, how many times have you been there?"

"never."
