I'm on an express train somewhere in central Jersey. What I've learned from this: the faster you travel through New Jersey, the nicer it looks.

I'll be faced with making (what I'd consider the year's most important) decision sometime around 4:00 mountain time this evening. I've been in Houston all week for business, and my flight back to Seattle is in a couple of hours. I have a connection in Vegas, with an hour and a half layover at the airport there. The connecting flight is scheduled to depart approx. 15 minutes prior to the start of tonight's game. If I get on the flight from Vegas to Seattle, I'll miss game one of the NLCS, go to the office tomorrow, and therefore miss game two as well. If I miss the flight from Vegas to Seattle, I'll most likely watch game one at an airport bar, catch a cab to whatever rinky dink hotel I can find, spend the night gambling/boozing, and then watch game two at a sports book or something. One minor issue with that choice is that my suitcase is too large to carry-on, so most of my stuff would most likely make the trip to Seattle and circle around the baggage claim conveyor belt thingy for a couple of hours until some airport employee notices and sets it aside. I'd have to cram some socks and underwear in my laptop bag, but otherwise I'd be stuck with just the clothes on my back.

Decisions, decisions....

Between this being a Thursday, the late game start, and it being fucking game one of the LCS, I expect this board to be really hungover tomorrow.

Comedian and new dad David Spade spoke to Us magazine about his child with Playboy Playmate Jillian Grace.

“It catches you off guard emotionally,” Spade told the magazine Oct. 4. He confirmed that although he hasn’t met his baby girl, born Aug. 26, he does plan to “soon.”

He's gonna be a great dad.

That is just weird. He only ever got outside like a handful of times. He was a stray originally. He was a clean cat.

I'm just sad and mad now, I will look at this stuff later.

It's most likely Chase contracted the FIP virus while a stray and didn't show signs until later (recently).

If you have other cat(s), you should probably talk to your vet as to whether they should be tested/checked for FIP. As I understand, FIP can be very contagious (usually via litterbox) depending on the age of the cat(s). Not trying to worry you, as IIRC, Woody's wiki link and/or the link I gave mentiones that cats between like 2 yo and 10 yo usually don't contract FIP because their immune system is usually strong enough to kill off the guilty virus before it mutates. Hence why you should ask a vet about this.

Again, my condolences on Chase.
