let's not forget, to be serious for a moment: biden is a senator, has been for decades. his main job is to speak and vote. it may be unfair to expect him to be better at this, but honestly, he should be.

on palin, i don't think its fair to say she's an embarressment to this country. she may be, for all we know, a highly competent executive who runs a staff a budget and deals with the day-to-day. one reveals itself on tv, the other doesn't.

debates are kind of limited in what they really tell us about a candidates strengths and weaknesses. i'm not apologizing for palin clearly being a less fluent speaker, just trying to add alittle context to what this little dog and pony show is.

Shoot me in the $#@! head if I have to hear that any further.

Biden's response to the "clean coal" line should have been, "I'll own my misstatements if you own yours."

That's how I say nuclear.

(pic is a fake, doc. I wanted to have shirts made with that image and the DBD superimposed over it.)

Also, that there's no distinction between them on "civil unions"... PtK, if you're still with us, there might be your checkmate move.

Why can't the Dems just have a mantra of "McCain, represents more of the same ..." "... more of the same Rep policies that got us in to war and to bloated housing bubble ..." and all the rest...

The Dems are ill-prepared, the Reps talk about non-specifics ... they create a "Feeling" a perception (to the less than literate and informed)

The funny thing is one of my friends was ripping Bush for saying nu-ku-lar. And I was like, and? They then explained that wasn't how the word was pronounced. I was slightly humbled.

I used to say 'yous guys' etc. until I went to college and a 'friend' made fun of me every time I said it. He beat it out of me.
