LOL at you pacino. You deny what you can read without leaving BSG. I WANT TO BREAK MY TV, I WANT TO MOVE TO CANADA (liberal refrain every four years), AMERICANS ARE SOOOO STOOPID

I'm just waiting for the ad where Palin gets up and says - yeah, we all agree: the bridge to nowhere was a real waste, right?

Yeah, I voted for it before I voted against it.

Obama and Biden voted for it, then voted for it again.

This attitude hasn't won the Democrats squat and people can't seem to learn that it only serves to throw up a wall and drive people to ignore you as emotional know-it alls.

This is how liberals fail to convince people, and it's happening all over again.

jerseyhoya does only care about winning, he's stated as much.

You throw up these posts like they somehow matter to any part of electing anyone. This election has become entirely about pointless character and 'leadership' issues, and nothing about issues or opinions on issues. Selecting Palin only sought to solidify that.

'emotional know-it-alls' is such a pointless comment. Thanks, but no thanks

I do only care about winning during campaigns. I don't care about any of this goo-goo run a positive campaign crap. You can't outright lie over and over, because it becomes counter productive in the long run. The McCain campaign is getting dangerously close to this becoming a big problem.

I guess you think the vehement tone is "irrational" (or, since the web is tonally neutral, what you're no doubt gleefully imagining as the tone).

Would it help if we could somehow channel George Will's even keel in pointing out that she's an(other) arrogant, incurious mediocrity picked without any regard to what it could mean for the country? And that her selection, along with the substance-free and dishonest campaign he's running, makes a mockery of McCain's "Country First" brand?

What I don't see is you, or anyone else, defending either of them. Just pointing at the scoreboard and offering snark.

Last post. I see nothing wrong with infrastructure bills and so-called 'pork'. THey are a minuscule part of the federal budget and do help people in localities in very specific ways. It's the HYPOCRISY of her satting she hates them while being form the state that gets them out the ass and, on yeah, she was actually FOR the infamous one.

Bye.

I did see it. She was great--totally nailed the voice, and she looks scarily like her. (Otherwise, Michael Phelps was the funniest one on the show... which is not high praise. Man does SNL blow now.)

But is she miming a gun or playing air guitar there?

I see why you might say that. Unfortunately for me, she reminds me of an old roommate's total psycho girlfriend.

My favorite was when she had the spiky hair early in her SNL days. Dear god. She's still damn fine now, though.

That's simply not true. Among other things, I recently linked an article from USA Today, which discusses her actions while in the Governor's office. As far as I know, not one of the Palin "critics" commented on it one way or the other.

Instead, it seems all we get is a great deal of snark and hatred being tossed her way. That qualifies as "PDS" and not substantive debate. It's amazing how Obama's lack of experience gets a pass semmingly at will, but Palin gets the old "righteous indignation" at every turn. Why is that?

I can understand if people disagree with her on the issues or question her experience, but the level of negativity found in so many of the comments are fever swampish, pure and simple. That's all well and good, but others may see that as over the top.

Um.

All due respect.

As an Ivy League-educated, NYC Democrat, I'm pretty much dead certain that you are vastly, vastly more prescriptive and arrogant in your pronouncements about "if only people knew what's good for them than ANYONE, left right or center, on this board.

It's that arrogance, generally backed up by an absence of specifics or supporting arguments, that's made you something of a joke here.

Did you just call me a joke? Wow.

I'm not even gonna dignify that with a response.

I was asked to site more sources and have been. Sorry they aren't the same pablum laden trough you feed from.

People like you frustrate me more than any of the Lax's or Vox's of the world ... cause you are scared to call things as they really are. Prefer to think the system is designed well, just a few kinks in the armour. Giving McCain credit. It's Dems like you that make me want to support 3rd parties.

Apparently Hunter Biden is no longer a Federal lobbyist. There's another unemployed person due to the Bush-McCain policies. Apparently Biden still hasn't gotten the message that all Federal lobbyists are evil and that they shouldn't be judged individually if they have actually done anything wrong. Look at this:

They'd get to have their voice. Look, there is a thing called free speech. They get to petition their government. But in terms of their ability to be able to set the agenda, write legislation, be these--and my--you know, it's just, it would not--it just a total different atmosphere. A totally different atmosphere, just like it was 25 years ago when it didn't become such a growth industry.

Joe, stick to the talking points. Lobbying is wrong and lobbyists must be shunned at all costs. There are no exceptions.

I do like this one:
I'm listed as the 98th or 99th of the 100 poorest guy in the Senate in terms of net worth.

This may be true if you exclude his real estate holdings. Either Biden doesn't think they count toward his net worth or he's forgotten how many houses he owns.

This "Sarah Palin looks like Tina Fey" nonsense has to stop. They're brunettes who both wear glasses. End of similarity.

Tina Fey is hot. Sarah Palin - unless her posing in stars-and-stripes bathing suit while holding a big-ass gun gets you off - is not. Not remotely. (And I love that some of the same people - not necesarily people here - who put so much effort into talking about/making photoshop art to demonstrate that Hillary Clinton and/or Nancy Pelosi is ugly are the same people who think Palin is some beauty. Geez, these folks need some one-stop shop where they can get their vision and their ideology repaired.)

Oh and Vox - an awful lot of the American people are dumb. Doesn't make me a liberal elitist to say it. Look at the level of literacy in this country - look at the level of ignorance about other countries, other cultures, etc.

America is being dumbed-down, and the conservatives are leading the charge.
