on another note, i'm not sure if i should be worried about my digestive system or my diet because i have to take a dump about a half hour after every meal i eat.

Supposed to go 3 X a day.

I just saw a new healer, Homeopath, PhD in Chinese Med -- he says 3 X day, and I've heard other herbalists and healers say so as well. Most MDs will say twice a day. I was stunned myself, I'm very steady in the early am, but not thrice daily?? I"m taking a lot of magnesium these days... who knows??

I've also heard that crapping after every meal is a good thing.

Most MDs will say twice a day.

Evidence? WebMD says:

Some people -- including many alternative therapists -- say we should move our bowels one to three times a day to remain healthy, but this opinion is not backed by scientific studies.

About.com says:

The frequency of bowel movements among normal, healthy people varies from three a day to three a week, and perfectly healthy people may fall outside both ends of this range.

Tornado warning means there's an actual tornado.

It's right around my neighborhood. Wife took baby down to the basement. I haven't seen or heard anything.

We don't, and it's not arguable.

Philadelphia, PA average January temperature: 25.5 F; average July temperature: 85.5 F.

My hometown, Corvallis OR, by contrast, is 33 and 80, respectively.

No idea what the most moderate is, although I've heard San Diego's weather lauded. It's far more moderate, at 57 and 72.

I actually meant hurricanes, earthquakes, etc...

I'd have to imagine that the delaware valley has one of the lowest rates of what can even be considered an annoying occurence let alone serious threat. Hurricanes and tropical storms are rare. Ones that actually hit us hard even rarer. We don't know when we have earthquakes unless someone tells us. Every year a few trees fall down and the news screamsTORNADOES!!!! When in reality your chances of getting killed by a tornado in new jersey arent much better than getting killed by lightning.

We've become so pussified that when a storm is coming in the winter that we might get 3 inches out of everyone rushes to stock up.

Its just a joke. This has to be the culture most afraid of its own shadow on the planet.

I'm basically just venting here in case you haven't noticed.

The Puget Sound area is pretty moderate. Rarely real cold or hot. Doesn't snow much. No tornadoes or tropical storms. Some pretty bad wind sometimes -- knocks out power and trees fall down and such.

We do have earthquakes and of course some volcanoes -- Mt. Rainier may blow up someday.

But the weather is pretty mild.

San Diego is 72 and sunny every single day. No rain or snow or anything. I think they get gentle breezes. That's it.
