It gives me a pang of 21st Century Anxiety that our network connection slowing - not down, just lagging - pretty much cripples all the support-side departments at the museum.

Not quite the same thing, but the Midget Palace at least had midgets you could come visit and interact with. Doesn't look like they did much of anything except sip some tea and play the piano, but that might have been different if Phight On had come to visit.

According to boingboing, the site is now a gay bathhouse. I don't know if it's popular because everybody looks larger there.

I thought I would adjust, but everytime I see "T-Mac" I have to remind myself all over that they're not talking about Tracy McGrady.

I kind of thought that midget thing was a dream.

I had been doing so well, too.

Sorry if I offended any little people but if there are any among us, please post pics.

Divide and conquer. Sometimes you've got to take the fatty for the team.

I'll explain it in this scenario- 2 guys see a pair of chicks at a bar- 1 of the chicks is hot and the other one is big and/or ugly.

A successful wingman (WM) is there to take one for the team. The squadron leader (SL) and (WM) usually approach the pair of chicks so the SL is able to talk to the hot chick while the WM occupies the big and/or ugly chick. Women in general will not leave their friends behind-no matter how fat- so the SL is far more likely to get lucky (while the WM gets unlucky in a sense) if you all end up leaving the bar and going to the same place. WM often get some- it's just not anyone worth ever talking about again. Usually the SL and WM take turns in the role and it's often understood that the SL will not tell any mutual friends just how big and or ugly the #2 was.

Isn't the wingman also the guy who makes the approach--that is, he goes to the hot woman, and say, "my friend over there would like to buy you a drink" thus taking the pressure off every one.

And, a wingman should also run interference--prevent keep the "squadron leader" from distracting conversations with people the sl doesn't want to talk to.

I found each situation to be unique so I can't disagree with anything you wrote. I should have touched on your second line as well. A good wingman scans the crowd and keeps their eyes open for potential c-blockers that are ready to pounce.

In some cases they approach the pair of girls together and other times it goes down like you explained in your first line. You just have to go by your gut feeling- like if any eye contact has already been made between the SL and #1 chick for example. Some women find being shy guys to be cute. Others will take it as a sign of not having any balls and any chance of getting your johnson wet go down incredibly- at least with your first choice.

Clearly, being a good wingman is a tough job.

And, also, a good wingman gets you tactfully out of conversations with inappropriate people. And knows when it's time to leave, and where you might have better luck.

Housh needs a better wingman.

It's true. Actually, I'm often told I need to distance myself from my roommate because he's so strange.

I had a great wingman when I met my wife. We still exchange Christmas cards.

I'm thinking we now need a Crashburn/PTK/Housh sitcom/reality/sketch comedy show.

I don't know if the hair under my chin/on my neck grows faster or if I just consistently shave horribly under there.

six boxes of inflatable sex dolls have just arrived at the office. Yeah, we're all laughing now, but what happens when palahniuk throws them into an audience and one hits a well-to-do greyhaired punter in the face? Eh?
WFO-That face implies the bottle is destined for something nonstandard.
Woddy:to smash in her old face
WFO-You went to a dark place there friend.
