The first time I went bowling I got a good golf score. The first time I went golfing I got a good bowling score.

Depends--making good pizza seems to be much harder than making good wings. But good pizza is better than good wings, in my opinion. However, I'd rather eat mediocre wings than mediocre pizza.

A half gallon of Freddie Hill chocolate peanut butter ice cream in the freezer is a damn welcome site.

No, I grew up in Lansdale and was up there this weekend visiting a friend. Had to stop by Freddie's and pick up some ice cream, since that was where I spent far too much time as a kid.

Merrymead is for flits.

We actually drove by Merrymead this weekend to go to Freddie's and I had to explain to my wife that the MM vs FHF rivalry is the Pat's and Geno's of the far reaches of the northwest suburbs, with less jingoism and more lactose.

No but seriously I almost sold my wife for a vanilla-peanut butter cone at MM the other week

I like FH better. It helps that it's closer too, and of course there's the mini golf. But MM milkshakes taste funny.

I'm pretty embarrassed right now. Two weeks ago I had a fever in July and had to miss two days, thinking the whole time, "This is freaking ridiculous. Cold sweats and fever dreams in the middle of the summer. What else could go wrong?" Now I'm awake in the middle of the night wondering how I'm going to explain to my boss after taking two days off to dog-sit that I need to stay home another day because my feet got so sunburned that my ankles have swollen over and I can't walk. I just peed from a chair that I've been rowing around my apartment whenever I need water or ice or whatever. And I put sunblock on my feet, dammit! I want my Mommy.

i had the sunburn on my feet last year. it took about 10 or 11 days till the swelling went down and i was able to walk. i remember after laying down for an hour i would put my feet on the ground. and would scream in agony for 10 minutes as the fluid rushed into my ankles. i'm not even talking about walking here. this is just the pain of sitting up straight.

housh, i dont think you are only one day away from it being over. they still have to turn purple and then green before it's all over
