What should it say?

Uh, he shouldn't be using a mock presidential seal on his rostrum.

He is, in fact, running for president.

Which makes him using that weird-ass sign on his platform interesting. It's retarded. Seriously. Who thought that was a good idea?

My old roommate just called Scott McClellan, "Your Dick Morris."

That about works I think.

Meh. Seems to draw people's attention to the brand name, which can't be a bad thing.

What is that in the middle of the eagle, though, the Guggenheim?

It's the O from the Obama for America thing. That's really the center of what America means.

it really chaps you that someone who doesn't campaign the 'right' way is doing so well, doesn't it?

Like in his first general election ad?

Silly thing to wear, what with it being a substitute for true patriotism and all.

It depends on what you consider the right way. He's using all the best time honored methods to get votes. Is there a right way?

Yea it's the NYTimes, but it must be conceded that the dots are fat and juicy:

There was suspicion among many in the Arab world and among parts of the American public that the United States had gone to war in Iraq precisely to secure the oil wealth these contracts seek to extract. The Bush administration has said that the war was necessary to combat terrorism. It is not clear what role the United States played in awarding the contracts; there are still American advisers to Iraq’s Oil Ministry.

I was in South Carolina this weekend- my wife's relatives could be considered reasonably intelligent people. Yet they believe that Obama is Muslim, Michele called people whitey and whatever stupid nonsense theyve been hearing from their friends in email. The not so subtle racism down in the south is alive and well in some areas. I even saw a billboard directing people to a website about how Obama is worse than Benedict Arnold. (wish I remember the site)

What's the best place to see money raised to date? From CNN, I see:

Obama: 272M
McCain: 100M
DNC: 71M
RNC: 111M

Cash on hand:
Obama: 47M
McCain: 22M
DNC: 1.6M
RNC: 38M

Are there more up to date figures?
