Portland seems to be the coolest city up here. They actually did some urban planning and they have public transportation and all of that god stuff.

Cost of living is pretty high up here though.

I would think God wouldn't use public transportation.

The closer we get to baby day, the stupider I get. I thought this only happened to the mothers. My level of concern with the rest of the world is reaching sleepy bovine proportions.

I think I might be too old to have spent the last 24 obsessing over my softball swing.

How does it work that I don't get a lick of sleep - well, about a half hour/hour but I think I would have been better off staying up - such that I'm a complete zombie all morning at work, then just a dull headache and delirium in the afternoon, and now I feel pretty much just like I normally would around 10 o clock at night?

I guess it always catches up with you. I fell asleep at 8 yesterday even though my front brain was screaming to get my ass back downstairs and watch some sports.

Then you definitely shouldn't go to this website:

you sure do seem to have a lot of time on your hands to be on this forum? Do you have a job? Are you a shut-in?

It's funny you say that. Lil' Vulture was a day away from turning 5 months old on Sept 11, 2001. There was something disturbingly surreal about that whole experience that lingered for months.

I'm totally ditching work in a bit to go up to Pennsylvania Avenue and watch the pope drive by.

Stupid name aside, a webinar is not a bad way to spend a day. Free Psych CEU/Act 48 credits, all from the comfort of my living room. So far, I 've heard a little bit about evidence based practice and read much more about baseball. Too bad there aren't any afternoon games.

What's up, Yankees fan? Also, can you head over to the casual dress thread and answer Woody and my question? If you can assist bakestar, that'd be good too.

My assistant is going to the TriBeCa filum festival with her fella (whose short piece is being shown at it) and it's all being paid for by someone else. And they're going next week. the word jealousy does not do justice to what I am currently feeling.

The popemobile is hilarious. And the tons of Hispanics chanting, banging on drums, and doing the wave really made the whole thing go.

Our tornado warning siren sounded, as it does every Wednesday at noon. But it isn't stopping. Oh. There it goes.
