My friend was fired at where we work today. We knew it was coming, and she will be better off but it still stinks. She used to be an assistant to this woman, Deb. Every other assistant Deb has had, she has gotten them fired. My friend requested to be moved to another department before she was fired like all the others. My friend was moved and Deb was pissed that she wasn't fired. Deb held back court cases that my friend was supposed to file(if she knew about them) and produced them this week to her manager and said look what Marybeth didn't do.

I'd think there's some measure that can be taken by your friend.
