Sen. Hillary Clinton's campaign released exceprts from a speech she will give at 8:30 pm ET -- half an hour before the polls even close in Wisconsin, an indication she doesn't expect to win.

Clinton takes direct aim at Sen. Barack Obama:

"Both Senator Obama and I would make history. But only one of us is ready on day one to be commander in chief, ready to manage our economy, and ready to defeat the Republicans. Only one of us has spent 35 years being a doer, a fighter and a champion for those who need a voice. That is what I would bring to the White House. That is the choice in this election... It’s about picking a president who relies not just on words – but on work, hard work, to get America back to work. Someone who’s not just in the speeches business – but will get America back in the solutions business."

Shorter speech: "ME ME ME WHY WON"T YOU PICK MEEEEEE!!!!"

Anyone who wants to be president as badly as Hillary--or McCain--should have a restraining order taken out against their getting anywhere near the job.

Oh joy, she's bringing out the knives. Wooo!

BTW, I'm a 1/5 of the way through 'The Audacity of Hope' and I have to say that Obama's a pretty good writer. It's an enjoyable, breezy read that's still 300+ pages and packed with his thoughts.

Clinton just used "City of Blinding Lights" by U2 at her rally tonight. Uh...that's been Obama's song for months. This is getting hilarious.

...and CBS is already calling WI for Obama.

Sorry about that. It was just the talking heads interpreting their exit polls, saying the result should be similar to VA.

Yeah, not sure if you were on when I posted that exit polls show him up 20. It got lost a few pages ago.

I just thought it was weird that they'd call early.

I'm utterly delighted that it looks like Hillary is going to be a moron coming out of this and going negative. Not that going negative is dumb, she should if she wants to win, but I really don't think that she's got a real shot left. Going negative is bad for the party.

CNN waited until the VA poll officially closed, and then called it for Obama exactly then.

CNN just did the same exact thing tonight with McCain. I find that hilarious.

Does CNN call it straight off?

Yes. For Johnny Mac. Not for the Dems. Anyone call it?

This is really interesting. I've never seen networks talk about how someone was leading by exit polls.

It's like they don't believe how big Obama is winning.

I'm not advocating it. Someone else was blaming him for the budget deficits in this country.

mccain is up to speak, trying to get in before obama i assume

the one good thing (for mccain) about huckabee staying in is that it doesn't keep ol' straight express on the sidelines.

They've supported a slew of very unconservative measures, so I'm not sure what the  is for. McCain has been a more traditional conservative, no?

McCain's crowd sucks. They have to be told where the applause lines are.

Yeah, seriously. What?

Well, traditionally, pre-emptive war, massive budget deficits, and recreational drug abuse were not "conservative" principles.

This is what I was getting at.

For a second I thought this guy was a sly dog 'Don't be deceived by talk of change' but then he did a 10 second pose smiling and patting himself on the back about his great little dig. It WAS great, before you acknowledged it.

Did Gramps just say he was in Ohio? Whoops.

(Unless he's actually in Ohio; I assumed he was giving his Wisconsin victory speech in Wisconsin.)
