Seriously, have you considered getting the thing looked at by a doctor or nurse or someone in Med School or something? That doesn't sound good.
Having a finger that looks like a humpback whale is no way to go through life son.

Seriously, you could wait to see your doctor, but if you can afford the emergency room visit, I'd try that instead. You may have to wait around a bit, but you'll get quicker treatment than getting a doctor's appointment on a Monday during cold/flu season.
