you sure do seem to have a lot of time on your hands to be on this forum? Do you have a job? Are you a shut-in?

If Eaton doesn't get it together, he should be given a space suit with the Phillies logo prominently displayed, adequate air, food & water, placed on the space shuttle and rocketed into geosynchronous orbit for the duration of his contract. At least then he'd have some marketing value to the Phils.

(I know, you don't want him to have the air, food & water, but we're not Barbarians!)

I'm just saying, i'd favor either of them over geary if you are depending on a multiple inning guy.

Like I said missed last nights game, don't know who pitched who didn't, should check the box score

So, there are some well rested options who would be more preferable to multiple inning outings than Geary it seems.

Geary scares me

Helms swings at a pitch two feet above the strike zone and makes the second out. He goes to Guantanamo with Eaton.

What mediocre bench player has had a career year at 3rd base this year? I'm just trying to predict gillicks off seasson moves.

Mike Lowell drove in 117. He'll hit .252 with 18 homers for us, for $11M/year.

I can't see why you would let Eaton hit here. He may be good for a pitcher but his OPS is still .529 and he's not any better than whoever would pitch next.

Not mediocre or a bench player....plus Boston still needs a 3rd baseman and probably won't pay for A Rod, and didn't lowell have better years in Florida? Gillick only gets baffled by guys like nunez and helms

Sure, Eaton has a 6.30 ERA in 160 innings... but he's working his way out of it.
