I posted this on a TGP entry, but prior to the last 2 HR Howard hit, he'd only hit 2 to the opposite field this entire season. He'd hit 17 to Left center-right center, and 14 to right field, but only 2 to LF. Last year, he hit 16 HR to LF.

His last 2 went to LF. That's a really good sign.

before the game i observed pat burrell taking practice swings from what was probably about 5 feet away from wagner, however, from my vantage point it looked like he was swinging directly at him

it was the greatest thing i saw up until 5 minutes later when i saw wheeler wearing a yellow hawaiian shirt
