You'll also be pleased to hear that I'm not watching tonight's game.

Nah, I only have such thoughts about posters I consider pains in the ass. I generally like your contributions; ergo you can't be a jinx.

is every time they lose one step closer to .500 and every win one step further from .500? also, even though it is one step closer, they are still a long ways away from 10 million

I guess Happ takes over Lieber's spot by default now. read in the DN that the Phill's would go w/ whoever pitched better.

Barkann starts the show asking why Hamels didn't pitch the day game

Steve King responds with "his day game numbers aren't that good"

That ends that, Barkass

The Phillies should have started the kids this PAST series.

I find this tough to argue against, particularly switching Durbin and Eaton. Manuel makes lineup decisions based on how players have fared in small sample size against given pitchers; by the same logic, he should have held back Eaton for the Mets.

Note that we were also screwed by the Mets game last night getting called before ANY RAIN ACTUALLY FELL. I live maybe 10 miles as the crow flies from Shea; I don't think it rained here at all last night. The result of this was that we got Hernandez today; we won't see Pelfrey at all this weekend; and the rest of the Mets starters will be on normal rather than short rest.

Durbin would have then been pitching on short rest.

Oh, then he might not have had such a good start.

I hate having Philly/NY Cable. Flipping through the channels and seeing Mets highlights and hearing those morons kills me.

We're near the top of the NL in Quality Starts? Really?

It's a shame all the starts are either quality or just God awful.

Sadly, stats beat emotive arguments everytime. I have tallied my record of misery for this year. The phils are 5-17 when I comment on a game thread.

9 of those losses were in april, compared to 4 in may and 4 in june.
