Phillies sign Odubel Herrera to a five-year extension, carrying him through 2021. The deal includes club options for 2022 and 2023.

With the club options the deal keeps Herrera as a Phillie three years after he was set to become a free agent. He was arbitration eligible through 2020.

Herrera's 2022 club option is worth $11.5 million. 2023 club option is worth $12.5 million.

It's so nice not to read the words vesting option anymore.
