Villanova is more battle tested in the sense of having had to work hard to win against good teams. NC has pretty much breezed through. It's unlikely that they will just breeze through to an 18 point lead against Nova. They have to work and think. They have the talent - but will they have the drive and luck?

Carolina is making shots. Villanova is struggling to get shots. That's the story.

At first Villanova had them off balance, making steals. Then they got them to foul. But Carolina is so deep and so talented, that they just keep finding a way to do something successful no matter what Nova does. That means - the only way Nova can come back and win - is to make big shots themselves and hope it's a 1-2-3 point game late and just have it go their way.

If Carolina comes out sharp and gets that 5 point lead up to 11-12 - it will be tough to come back. Nova is not designed to come back against a team like Carolina. If they can tie it up quickly in 2nd half- then Carolina has to bear down and play careful. Once you have a lead you begin to loosen up and not worry so much about making mistakes.
