thinkin unc opens as a 2pt favorite. and think most of the professionals will be betting on nova and taking the points.

unc has a shot to be:

1) preseason #1
2) regular season champ
3) conference champ
4) ncaa champ

only 4 teams, I think, have done it. jordan unc squad and at least 1 duke team.

Top two teams in nation per KenPom, including the two most efficient offenses. Should be fun. This Nova team is playing at an all-timer level. UNC hasn't really been tested this entire tournament. Going to need a a special performance to win. Nova tore through three straight good to great teams to get there.

This seems right to me. I didn't see every game, but Carolina had a much easier road to the finals, and that doesn't even count the cheating. Nove just ran over some pretty good teams. That dismantling of OK was just about a perfect game.

I can understand how if you are a deep deep Temple, St Joes, Penn or Lasalle fan - and have really loathed Villanova, that it could be challenging to 'root' for them. But if you are a Philadelphian, or from the region and/or have strong ties to the area - you have to take a step back and go --

"hmmph… our 4 pro teams have been really bad of late. '08 Phils is about to be 8 years ago. After 4 pro, BCS Football and Final 4 National Title are the two biggest events with national respect and media exposure. All people with a rooting interest from the Phila. region can share in the glory if there is victory. It's not that you rooted for your arch rival from the the mainline, it's that you rooted for your city to garner a championship of note".

But these are cheaters from the ACC, UNC to boot. No matter how mad you are at your brother, you gotta side with that brother in a fight with some cheating asshole from out of town.

I've met too many elitist pricks over the years. I'm fine with wright and the team itself, it's the smug pricks that think they're too good for the big 5 and too good to back the rest of us

Are you expecting duke fans to root for unc?

Pretty crazy that UNC went through Villanova in their '05 and '09 championship runs, and now potentially this year, too.
