I'm sure a lot of people don't like Hitchens, but this is a pretty succinct article on Romney's Mormonism and why, in the least, he can be expected to answer question about it:

Like Mormonism is any more absurd than Christianity, Judaism, Muslimism, Buddhism, Taoism, Shintoism, or Hinduism.

I enjoy listening to and reading Hitchens. I don't agree with him all that much -- especially his latest work -- but I appreciate his mind and the way he experesses his ideas. I would recommend listening or watching his many debates and presentations regarding "God is Not Great." I think non-religeous and religeous folks alike would benefit from hearing his views and thinking about what he says -- probably us Christians benefit the most if we listen to his challenges to our faith.

The whole Mormon thing with Romney reminds me of the Anti-Mason movement of the early years of our republic for some reason.

Crime was declining in NYC under Mayor Dinkins BEFORE Guliani even ran for mayor. I hate that this guy is hanging his hat on major social trends and macro-changes as some big thing 'he' did.

I've seen the 'stars and bars' flown in good ol' PA. I've seen it flown in the city of Philadelphia for chrissakes! It is the furthest thing from heritage that has been passed off as such that I've seen. What are people honoring when they fly it, treason?
