It doesn't take much to see that ad as indictment of Bush's anti-terrorist policies.

Very interesting night. I'm relatively new to politics (or at least paying such close attention to it), and I'm encouraged by the Obama win.

Wow. Thompson in third beating McCain? That's really, really good news.

It shouldn't be. I know it's pleasing to imagine a heartland that is so racist they won't use black pens, but it's not true.

Did you guys see his last ad? Not sure I've laughed harder at anything all week.

I had to rerun the word "crisis" as I thought he said Christ. That would have worked too.
Check The Good Phight, you might learn something.

Obama basically took everyone under 30 and a lot of the people between 30 and 45. He's going to take this thing if he can continue to draw younger people to actually come out and vote.

From National Review's blog:

The much-maligned youth vote appears to have showed up for Obama. In the entrance poll I'm looking at,22% of voters were 17-29, and he got 57% of them. Interestingly, Huckabee also did well among (relatively) young voters, scoring higher among voters 17-29 and 30-44 than among older voters. Also, 37% of GOP voters said it mattered a great deal that a candidate shared their religious beliefs. Huck got 55% of them. 30% said it mattered somewhat and Huck split them with Romney, Huck 28, Romney 26. Romeny won 39% of the voters who cared not much/not at all. Huck got 2% of the not at all.

(Re: increase in youth vote between 2004 and 2008) Andy Kohut says it was 17% in 2004, and that up to 22% is a notable bump.

For McCain?

Only one of them campaigned in Iowa, and his name wasn't John. They're separated by around 300 votes w/ 85% reporting.

Obama on CNN right now

He's basically setting up that he's won already. I like it. Now that Biden is dropping out, I'm going with Obama.
