in NON winter meetings news,
yesterday fangraphs posted the 2016 phillies projections from the projection system that beat everyone else's last year, zips. which is why it's encouraging to see that the zips projections for herrara and altherr and c.hernandez and crawford are much better than those from steamer. (fangraphs "depth charts" projections last year did well mostly because they combined zips with steamer). zips also is much higher on bourjos.
while waiting for goeddel (almost a joke there) , here's my current favorite set of phils position players for 2016 with both projections listed.

Why would they pass? Every team after them has selected, just not sure why they would pass but I am not sure how it all works.
