i don't think cherington even interviewed so i'd be shocked if he's the guy. i'd go with dan kantrovitz but i think i'll be happy with whoever they bring in.

I agree with this.

I like the process they are following, leadership (Middleton/McPhail/Gillick) knows this this is a desirable destination and they've picked their candidates accordingly. I really like that they interviewed and dismissed Beinfest, he's got a weird history with the Marlins, that pretty much sucks, but where does Loria end in that org. I like that they brought him in and then cut his ass out right away. Fuck that guy

But anyway, I like the cardinals guy. The cards have a steady stream of obnoxiously decent players streaming out of their farm system. I want that plus a top 5 payroll to be able to fill gaps.

I like Kantovitz or Ng. I agree that they seem to have brought good candidates. The odds are high that no matter who they hire from that population will be pretty good.
