True, though Winkelman was actually Ruben Amaro Superfan #1 on Twitter for a really long time, to the point that it looked like he was trying to get hired by him or something. It was very odd and off-putting.
I agree. I could never tell whether he actually believed that or was just doing the "I'll take the position contrary to public opinion because I'm smarter than everyone else" routine.
