Cameron's demands were apparently enough to drop him from top-10 to #37. It's hard to know what's going on, but when every single team passes on the kid in the first round, I think we can be fairly confident in that decision.

I mean, you have a MLB player's kid. It's not as if money is a real issue for him. Cameron was far from a star, but B-R has him as making $76MM in his career. If the kid wants to go to college (and hang out with Clemson coeds), it was going to take a LOT of money to persuade him otherwise.

When you get to this point in the draft and start wondering why certain players are not on the Top 500, you're doing it wrong.

I disagree especially when one of these guys is a 3rd round pick. It will be the first time when the Phillies go off the industry consensus board for a player that works out. They definitely look to be saving money with these picks. A Cole Sands type high school pitcher will make this feel a lot better. I'm not getting my hopes up though.
