(Mostly) Relief pitcher Terry (Fat Tub of Goo) Forster had a career batting average of .397 in 86 PA.

2016 draft will start on June 9, which means we're back to a THU/FRI/SAT schedule

Marlins are asking Jennings to step down as manager and go back to gm.

Remember when Brian Hunter scored from second on a sac fly without any error, mental or otherwise, on the part of the outfielder against the Marlins, losing a shoe in the process? April of 2001, heady times.

L I think. The tall fast one who was on the team for 2 years not 1 I think.

Here's a listing of times it happened during a ten year period, from the late, lamented blog Recondite Baseball. Rare, but it's actually more frequent than I would have guessed. Oh and yes, Brian L. Hunter.

Downloaded "the best team money can buy" to read on my flight. Frank McCourt was incredible.

- paid a Russian psychic back in Boston six figure bonuses to "think blue"

- bought a house across the street from playboy mansion for $21.25M. Spent $14M renovating it which included ripping the kitchen out of their house is MA, hauling it across the country and installing it in their new home.

- bought the house next door because that one wasn't big enough to host guests or do laundry.

- bought Courtney cox's house for $27.5M. Realized the beachfront backyard couldn't accommodate an Olympic size pool for his wife to do laps in so he bought the house next door for $19M.

Since the draft changed to going by worst records overall instead of alternating between leagues, no division has had 3 teams in the top 3. Right now it's Phillies/Braves/Marlins 1-2-3. Go East!
