I particularly liked how the author added his own comment about "the 12 hysterical reactions to Value Add (comments and the New Republican, vs. 2839 who liked Value Add enough to tweet it out)."

Some of those tweets:

Possibly the worst 'metric' ever. This guy seems to want to #ReviveTheWin. http://www.breitbart.com/Breitbart-Spor ... eball-born

I'm officially nominating this for @robneyer's worst baseball writing of the year -

Oh wow, conservative baseball analysis is predictably terrible, focuses heavily on pitcher wins:

The three active leaders in career AB all play for or are injured on the roster of the Yankees

You should see a therapist about your obsession regarding the Yankees.

ESPN Classic is showing some Little League World Series games from the olden days. I DVRd a couple for grins. Right now, I have the 1969 game between Santa Clara vs. Republic of China (playing for the first time). Jim McKay and Mickey Mantle are discussing the fact that the Chinese players are descended from aboriginal headhunters.

The lead off guy for Santa Clara is future big leaguer Carney Lansford.

Crazy man, crazy.

If we close the season 40-8 (we're off to a 1-5 start, so it's going to be rough), we'll end up 92-70, even with this shit show so far.

That's a helluva stretch.

Check it out. The 1974 Sacramento Solons returned to the Pacific Coast League and played in a football stadium. The LF fence was 251 feet down the LF line.

The hitters, led by Bill McNulty with 55; Gorman Thomas with 51 and Sixto Lezcano with 34, hit 305 homers in 144 games. The pitchers gave up 301.

Musta been pretty wild.
