Might be time for MLB to consider shutting down. Maybe reinvent itself as a skateboard league

wish they'd extend the deadline. even if it were just Aug. 15 it'd make a huge difference

I'm on record saying that if he couldn't get an elite prospect for Lee, he should hold, re-sign Utley, play kids at 3B and RF, and basically double down by signing guys like Choo and McCann while waiting for the farm system to bear fruit.

It's been an uneventful trade deadline this year in general so maybe we're being too hard on Amaro but damn, there's really no excuse for Michael Young to be on this team after the deadline.

If nobody wants him, then release his ass. Delmon Young too.

Despite denials I still think Young to Red Sox has better than a 50/50 chance of happening in final hour of deadline...makes too much sense
