I guess we'll replace Lannan with Boyd Cloyd or Mr. Pettibone even though they suck. Shouldda kept Aaron Cook.

In all seriousness, I'm really encouraged by him. He his the ball too hard too often to not at least be a decent-hitting SS or UTIL

I know floppy said he's like Revere, but I have to think Galvis has the potential for triple the ISO of Revere.

Yea. I wasn't with Floppy on that comment either. Freddy's a power hitter in comparison to Ben.

Freddy had more 2B's in 190 AB's last year than Ben has had in any year of his career.

galvis had an ISO of .075 in the minors in 2200 PA.

last year, in a small MLB sample, it was .137.

i want to see more data before assuming he'll hit for any power. i think he does have more there than revere, but i dont think hes going to hit for average middle infielder power

I get that, but I'm pretty comfortable saying he's better than an infield Ben. Freddy's slugging consistently improved throughout the minors and he doesn't look to be swinging a wet noodle at the plate in his limited time in the majors. It might not be much, but it's something.

*Caveat--and explanation for my comment--I can't stand watching Revere at the plate.

So let me get this straight. Rube announces to the world that he doesn't care about walks, constructs a lineup full of guys who don't walk and when that lineup doesn't walk he finds it ridiculous? That's rich.

All those people who gave me a hard time for saying this team will not walk enough or have enough power to score runs consistently can bite me.

13 hits, zero walks, just 4 runs. It's hard to score when you need to string together 3 or 4 hits to do so.

Yeah no one did that. It was more asking you who else was available (other than Swisher) and saying Josh Fields sucks.

Enjoy, though!
