my expectations for the Upton contract are so low, I almost can't be disappointed!!
I know what you're asking yourself and the answer is yes. I have a nick name for my penis. Its called the Octagon, but I also nick named my testes - my left one is James Westfall and my right one is Doctor Kenneth Noisewater.

just because a player is perceived to be one of the best available in free agency at his position shouldn't mean you just throw your cash at him and call it a day. If that were the case I could be a GM. I would think that if Ruben wants to complain about his players lack of plate discipline signing this guy isn't exactly going to help.

(my number one priority would be Nick Swisher with Kevin Youkilis a close second)

Two sources tell me #Phillies "quietly" checked in on Hamilton. May just be due diligence, but who knows?

I think it'll be a combination of a big signing or two, a trade or two, and promotion of young guys. As it should be, imo, for a max-payroll club

Also I think the Rays are probably the leader to get J Upton. I don't know who their best position prospects are, but they have enough pitching that they can offer Hellickson as the main piece in the deal w/o really missing him
