Moyer also is older than Mr. Met. He looks better, too.

Moyer is 2-0 with a 1.00 ERA and seven strikeouts in nine Cactus League innings this spring. Batters are hitting .133 against him.

I bought some tickets for Phillies Cards at Busch Stadium for the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend. I realize that's about as premium a game as you could get, but it surprises me that the tickets I got for that game (excellent seats--200 section behind home plate) are double what the Thursday night Phils/Cards tickets run. I know they have to pay Pujols and all, but is it now common for the same seat to vary so much? I know they're using all kinds of fancy computer models to set prices and generate the maximum revenue (though it seems to me doing anything the way the airlines do it can't be good business) but I still found the degree of variation considerable. And if the Phils aren't doing this, why not?

I'm also going to get a Cardinals Hat out of the deal. Might be sacrificing that bitch in my yard if the Cards play the Phils in the playoffs again.

per friends who are also going to that series, the Cardinals do the same the Mets/Yankees/Orioles do and adjust price based on the game, but worse
no offense but you are everything that's wrong with America

I actually don't have a problem with it. It's just how extreme it is for the Cards. Wed night v. Pirates, a cheap seat can be had for $5,which really is a pretty good deal. But that same seat, on a Saturday against the Braves is $27.

They are. It's just ever time you go you're seeing the best team in baseball so all games are tier-1 pricing.

Curse of the Pap?

Andrew Bailey probably headed for surgery on his right thumb.

The important thing to note is that it's only a $4 million thumb.
