Cole Hamels
LHP
Philadelphia Phillies
Age: 28
Why he'll stay: Yes, Roy Halladay and Cliff Lee are there, but as they say, you can't have too much pitching. And Philly, which led MLB in attendance in 2011, has good cash flow.
Why he'll leave: The Southern California native might want to play close to home, and the next Dodgers owner could slot him in between Clayton Kershaw and Chad Billingsley.
Chance he leaves: 60 percent
Bowden's bid: Five years, $90 million
Possible fits: Cubs, Yankees, Dodgers

I think 5/90 was more realistic back in about December of 2010 for Cole, but 2011 pushed him into another stratosphere.

And he'd be a great 5th OF in 2012 and then an option in CF if we can't re-sign Victorino.

I think they like Bonjouros more than Blanton, and I suspect they laughed at a proposed Lannan offering. I'm guessing we would have more success going for Trumbo.
Trumbo blows.
