Probably not. Whenever Charlie comes out to the mound and ends up leaving it with Halladay still on the mound, it's because he trusts Roy if he tells him he can finish the inning/batter or whatever.
On the other hand, Dubee looks uncomfortable every time he has to tell Doc in the dugout that he's done for the day

Bowker is a real AAA masher (.922 OPS in more than 1300 PAs). He's sucked in the big leagues except for his pinch hitting line. .301/.378/.452 in 82 PAs. He's only 27 which should make Rany Jazzercise happy. Apparently he's real slow and he can''t fielld at any positiion.

The Phils seem to like getting guys who aren't good but who have had success at pinch hitting. Remember whan the Phils got Jose Offerman after he led the big leagues in pinch hitting that time? So Taguchi had a good year as a pinch hitter once I think. Gload too. Dobbs.

The problem with this is what I call the "Rogodzinski Effect." Guys who aren't that good who have a good PH season tend to regress to the suck.

Pinch hitting is also about small sample size so who knows -- anyone can have a hot handful of ABs and that's all it takes.

EDIT: Oh yeah, Bowker now joins Moss and Kratz! as part of our Pittsburgh Pipeline of AAA filler.
