Libpool actually kept a clean sheet today against Valencia (Mata played 60 minutes). The preseason has been pretty effing awful otherwise with regard to play.

Gerrard and Johnson already have injury crap going on. Suarez still hasn't started playing with the club due to Uruguay winning Copa America. The back line is a disaster. Carroll scored today though, and Downing has been working into the side alright from what I've gotten to see.

I dunno. I was driving around singing songs earlier. I'm ready for it to start, and they should be a lot better than last year. Fourth would be great and I think it's a possibility.

EPL offseason seems so short. When was the last match?

May 22, so less than 3 months off and they've been playing preseason for at least the last month and guys play international games in there. That's crazy.

Really wish I could bump flop's picks last 3 years to see Spurs not in the top 7.

Other predictions: three clubs surpass United's 80 point, league winning total from last season, the gap between 6th and 7th is >10 points, the gap between 13th and 18th is <5 points.

I think it's a safe bet to believe the bottom 5-8 is going to be an absolute clusterfuck again.

I still don't think any dominant teams emerge just yet. ManU aren't that good and I don't think the new (big)pieces have been able to jell as of yet of the other contenders.

Ok, so every year I tell myself I will follow EPL more closely. I followed pretty well last year with the help of an iphone app called Premiership which gave me push notices, etc. I've pretty much settled on being a Liverpool supporter since our family has befriended a family from Liverpool who is a schoolmate of Carter's. so I guess what i'm saying is i'm ready to take the next step from casual observer to more hardcore fan.
can you guys recommend other ways to stay better tuned in...web sites, other apps i might be missing. I don't have Fox Soccer channel which i'm guessing would help a lot ( i have comcast HD, how much extra does it cost?) Are there sites with free game streams?
Any help would be appreciated.

If you have Comcast, the sports package that has FSC and Gol TV is like $7 a month.

I use a news aggregator to follow all Arsenal news. Here is the link for Liverpool

The BBC's football section is solid.

Also, if you need to find games that aren't on FCS or Gol, you can just google "Liverpool/whoever streams" or go to RAWK and I'm sure you'll be able to find tons of online streams.
