Meh, I'd be pissed if he didn't call that the other way against them.

Shot in the dark, but any of you play FIFA? Is it worth getting FIFA 12? I have 2 friends say yes and 2 that say no and I'm torn whether it's worth the $60.

Depends on what you want from it, gameplay improvements are ok but some features got absolutely hosed. The player only career mode is an absolute travesty.

By this do you mean you can only be your own "player" for a career now, if so that's a deal breaker. I read some of the new online features, and I like it. Hopefully the new way they select games keep people from choosing the same 10 or so teams all the time(even though I still 75% of the time play with Spurs)

No, you can still manage teams, it's just for us one player only people, the feature got completely ignored. It must be the career mode with the least amount of features in sports games.

My point about online play was a bit secondary with this post. How exactly is the player only career an absolute travesty?

It's a dull, lifeless affair, there's no features to it beyond playing games, and having no interaction off the field with anyone. The Wii version has you starting off as a 5-a-side player and then building a career from there with the ps3/xbox version you start where you want and it's just dull.

You know, I have to figure that for all the crap America takes, we'd at least have someone in the country that would bother to read up on the rules for advancing in our continent's tournament.

Quick aside about the CAFCON, a lot of odd teams advancing. Last time's champs, Egypt are out. A bunch of countries not known for their footballing in Africa in the knockouts. Odd stuff. Not to say EURO 2012 isn't getting a little funky. Armenia might qualify over a really disappointing Ireland side(sorry wiz, had to be said), just to highlight.

Have we created a chance from open play this entire half?

The first half was pretty good.

I didn't see the 1st half, but Buddle is still useless.

Jozy's looked really good. He was sharp in the first half. Dempsey had flashes too. As did Shea.

I don't consider Dempsey a striker even though we're playing him as one. I'll agree with Shea, very impressed with his effort these past couple of months. Hopefully, he'll keep developing.
