Need to go back to having the All Star game two times a season so Philly can host it enough for phatj to be happy

I don't think it would be smart for many reasons to have the winter classic at CBP the same day as an Eagles home game + the Mummers

Reading about Madson's "soreness" is kinda scary because I remember that Utley's knee labrum problem was first described as "general soreness" and nothing to worry about (All is Well) and look how that turned out. Normally a relief pitcher getting a night off is nothing to worry about and a good thing. With the Phils though, it's always a tad worrisome.

Utley update: There’s still no timetable for Chase Utley’s getting into the lineup, but he continues to make progress as he recovers from patellar tendinitis in his right knee. Utley ran about 10 sprints in the outfield at Petco Park on Thursday afternoon. He finished going first to third along the outfield grass three times and really seemed to push himself. Utley also took batting practice and ground balls.

If, when he comes back, he stays back and hits like crazy and plays great defense and does all that Utley stuff we're used to we may look back on the "Pete Orr Era" and laugh some day.

On the telecast last night, McCarthy said he talked with Salisbury and his speculation was still a mid to late May return for Utley.
