I've done VERY little complaining about the announcers over the years, but TMac is going to kill me this year. His overbearing fake laugh is like someone dropping an anvil on my head. He's been fake laughing for so long that I question his ability to laugh for real.

And if that IS his real laugh, he should be put down before he spreads his genes any further.

And while I'm talking about announcers, I think we should lay off Wheels. Seeing him pump his fist and shake like an epileptic at a Japanese animation convention when Lidge fell to his knees, there's no way I could ever get too annoyed at him. The man is one of us. Warts included.

Yeah Wheels gets a pass from me just because you can tell he's a real fan. And listening to him reminds me of watching the games with my dad as their opinions on baseball were very similar. He annoys the hell out of me sometimes, but my dad did too.

Honestly, it irks me that during an era of Phillies baseball that everything seems to be clicking, we get TMac shoved down our throats.

With a competent (and likable) pbp guy, Wheeler is at least tolerable.
